NC stands for Nylon/Cotton. The outside of the Companion NC XXL is made of rip-stop nylon, the inside of nice and soft 100% Egyptian cotton. Why choose a nylon exterior? Because nylon is moisture and dirt repellent. Plus, ripstop nylon is super light and super sturdy. A 2-way zipper allows you to zipper two sleeping bags together cozily; but if it still gets too hot for you, you can unzip the sleeping bag at your feet and get extra ventilation.

The YKK zipper features an anti snag slider. This eliminates the risk of dust getting between the zipper. This is the most common problem, a zipper that gets stuck and won't open. This happens because there is a piece of fabric between it and it often takes a fair amount of effort and strength to loosen it.
