LOWLAND OUTDOOR® has designed a synthetic sleeping bag line alongside its down sleeping bag line. Why choose a sleeping bag with a synthetic filling? First of all, it's cheaper and it's easier to wash and dry a synthetic-filled sleeping bag yourself at home (drying a down sleeping bag requires some expertise). In addition, a synthetic filling does not absorb moisture, but therefore may not sleep as comfortably as a down-filled sleeping bag.

What makes the Pulsar series so unique is the Shingle construction (tile overlap) to avoid cold spots. This is the best and also most expensive solution to get a sleeping bag properly insulated.

The Pulsar +5 is a 2-season mummy sleeping bag. The outer shell is made of Diamond Ripstop Nylon and the inner shell of Nylon Soft Touch. This means: lightweight, water-repellent and hard-wearing on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. The nylon inner ticking takes on your body temperature faster than cotton.

To save extra weight, the Pulsar +5 does not have a warmth collar. It does have a drawstring, draft hood and contoured connecting hood. The Pulsar +5 keeps you nice and warm up to a comfort temperature of about +5°C . The foot end follows the shape of your feet at rest, the so-called Sharktoe design, which ensures your feet do not press the padding. Should it still get too warm during the night, you can unzip the 2-way zip at your feet. The Pulsar +5 washes easily at 40°C
